To currently manage unprecedented demand (FAR EXCEEDING PRE COVID LEVELS), we have needed to significantly reduce the number of pre-bookable appointments available, to allow us to safely cater for urgent work coming through each day.
The majority of appointments will be released on the day – 8am for morning appointments, and 11am for afternoon appointments. Please contact the surgery at these times for appointments. We understand this does not suit everyone and we are actively looking at other options for particular groups of patients. We are also looking to implement a telephone queuing system imminently. We have also already increased the number of call handlers at these surge times to help in this regard. Please bear with us.
If you think your query does not require you to speak to a doctor or book an appointment (e.g. blood test appointments, nurse appointments, sick notes, letter requests), please call the surgery after 2pm. This frees up the phone lines as much as possible for those needing GP appointments/medical advice.
