If you are planning to travel abroad to a destination where vaccinations or malaria prophylaxis are recommended please click the link below to determine the vaccinations you require.
Travel Vaccinations
Once this has been determined, please email our Nursing team directly with the details of your travels to: kmicb.practicenurses@nhs.net.
To assist the team with processing your information, please include the following:
- dates of travel
- where you are travelling to
- how long you will be staying
- any organised activities (hiking, water sports, safari etc)
- any previous vaccinations you have had that we may not be aware of
the Nurses will then contact you directly with further information and book your appointment where necessary.
Please note: due to some vaccinations requiring more than one dose to complete a course, we strongly recommend contacting us at least 8 weeks before your planned travel date (where possible).
Please note that only the vaccinations below are available on the NHS:
- Hepatitis A
- Typhoid
- Diphtheria, Polio and Tetanus (DTP)
If other travel vaccinations are required such as Yellow Fever, Rabies, Japanese Encephalitis, these vaccines are not available on the NHS or through Ivy Court Surgery. If these vaccines are required, you will need to make enquiries through a private travel clinic.
