We have our own ultrasound machine and visiting qualified Sonographers who allow our patients the convenience of scans without going to the hospital. If your Doctor recommends a scan, this can now be done much sooner than in the hospital. The types of scans offered include scans of the Abdomen, Pelvis, Legs, Testes, Skin Lumps and the Urinary tract. Examples of uses include investigating unexplained abdominal pain, gynaecological problems, as well as checking for suspected deep vein thromboses in the legs. In addition, our team can perform Echocardiography which allows assessment of heart size and how well the valves are functioning.
To improve accessibility to this exciting service, we have several out-of-hour sessions available for Ultrasonography and Echocardiography including Saturday mornings. Please ask at reception for further details regarding this service.
