  • IVY COURT WEEKEND OPENING

Ivy Court Surgery, working with the Ashford Clinical Commissioning Group, is pleased to announce the start of a new weekend Urgent Care Centre in Tenterden. The service will start on Saturday February 1st from 9am-12pm and will run at the same times every Saturday and Sunday morning from Ivy Court Surgery.

The centre will be staffed by a GP, Nurse and Receptionist and will provide urgent healthcare for minor injuries and illnesses which patients feel cannot wait. Serious injuries or emergency cases should continue to access the A&E department at the William Harvey Hospital as now occurs.

There will be no advance bookable appointments and it will be a walk-in service where patients will be seen in the order of clinical priority. This is a pilot service and in order to ensure its sustainability we ask that it is only used appropriately for cases that cannot wait until Monday. Initially patients of Ivy Court Surgery only will be seen, but this may be extended to other local patients shortly.

We hope that this will provide an excellent, convenient new service for our local patients and that pressure on A&E services through inappropriate use will also be eased.
