  • Ivy Court Charity Bike Ride

On 10th May 2015, the Partners, Staff and families of Ivy Court Surgery will take part in a sponsored charity bike ride / country walk!

There will be two cycle routes undertaken. The first will see the most dedicated cyclists within the practice be challenged by cycling the length of the practice boundary - this is close to 50 miles! And the second will be a slightly more ‘family friendly’ route enabling all family members to participate. Or for those wanting a Sunday morning amble through our local countryside, a 2 hour(ish!) walk to absorb the beauty of Tenterden and its surroundings.

All proceeds will be donated to Tenterden Day Centre who are busy fundraising to provide new minibuses for the centre.

We, and Tenterden Day Centre will be most grateful for your sponsorship of the event. This can either be done via our JustGiving page, or at the surgery reception desk if you prefer the more traditional approach!

    Many Thanks.

  • Thursday 13th May afternoon - SURGERY CLOSED

Please note, the surgery will be closed from 1pm on this date for training purposes. Any medical advice required after this time will be dealt with by 111.

We apologise for any inconvenience caused. Many thanks.

  • Find health help with NHS website and app

The NHS in Kent and Medway has a free website and app to help you find the right treatment, especially when you are not sure what to do or who to contact. Whether you have a baby with a high temperature, a child who is being sick, a teenager who is feeling low or you have sprained your ankle and for many other health problems, the Health Help Now web app can guide you to the service that will help you best.

Available at www.healthhelpnow-nhs.net, it works on smartphones, tablets, and computers. To find the downloadable apps, just search Health Help Now at the Apple Store and the Android Google Play Store.

  • BBC COVERAGE AND NATIONAL ASSOCIATION OF PRIMARY CARE AWARD RUNNER-UP!

Ivy Court Surgery is pleased to announce that it featured on BBC 1 on The Sunday Politics Show at 11am on Sunday 26th October!

The piece focused on our Weekend Urgent Care centre which was started in Tenterden on 1st February with support from the Ashford CCG, and has become a successful service for our patients. We have worked together with local surgeries in Hamstreet and Woodchurch to extend this service to over 25,000 patients in our locality. The weekend service was also nominated for the National Association of Primary Care 'Most Productive Joint Working Initiative' award and we are delighted to have been awarded Runner-up last week out of over 65 national projects!

We are very proud of this achievement and the improvement of care for our patients and hope to continue to develop innovative solutions to the problems faced by our NHS. Our heartfelt gratitude goes out to all of our patients who continue to support us year on year.

  • RURAL COMMUNITY WEEKEND URGENT CARE SERVICE

The Weekend Urgent Care Centre, which was started over 6 months ago as a pilot service operating at weekends 9am-12pm, has proved to be a valued additional service to our patients and has offered the reassurance of seeing a local GP should an urgent healthcare need arise over the weekend.

The service will be provided at Ivy Court Surgery on SATURDAY MORNINGS ONLY and will be provided at Hamstreet Surgery on SUNDAY MORNINGS ONLY.

The service will operate exactly as it does now with a walk-in service for patients registered to Ivy Court, Hamstreet or Woodchurch surgeries only who would otherwise have called 111 or attended A&E, but will be located at Ivy Court Surgery on Saturday between 9am and 12pm and in Hamstreet on a Sunday morning 9am-12pm.

We would like to remind our patients that we will be unable to deal with routine queries.

Please click here to see a map showing Hamstreet Surgery.
